Cosentino Presents Innovative Products at Coverings 2014

Cosentino, the global family-owned company leader in the production and distribution of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, announces an exciting lineup of new and innovative products to be displayed at Coverings 2014 in Las Vegas on April 29 – May 2 (Booth #2036.)  Cosentino’s exhibition booth will highlight the newly launched Dekton® by Cosentino, as well as Silestone’s most recent Nebula Code and Ocean series’, ECO by Cosentino® and SenSa® granite with SenGuard.

“At Coverings 2014, Cosentino will highlight our continued growth and success in North America through our well-diversified product offerings. This past year, we have been able to further expand distribution, opening many new Cosentino Center showrooms and distribution points, as well as expand our surfacing options, most notably with the launch of Dekton by Cosentino. Whether innovative or traditional, all products meet the Cosentino standard of exceptional performance and design. Coverings is the perfect venue to showcase our growth and diversification to the trade community,” said Lorenzo Marquez, VP of Marketing for Cosentino North America.

One of the highlights of the booth will be Dekton by Cosentino, an innovative new ultra-compact surface capable of seamless indoor and outdoor use that features advanced technical properties and functionality and is the result of extensive research and development. By utilizing Particle Sintering Technology, a proprietary technique that mimics the metamorphic change that rocks and stone undergo in nature when subjected to heat and pressure over thousands of years, Dekton offers UV and thermal shock resistance, superior strength, high resistance to impact, scratches and abrasion, and low water absorption. Produced in large format slabs, measuring approximately 126 inches x 56 inches, Dekton allows for large-scale interior and exterior applications.  Dekton is available in 10 white, gray, black, and natural stone hues and in three polished, matte, and slate finishes.

In addition, Cosentino will present the two most recent color series to its Silestone natural quartz line – Nebula Code and Ocean. Silestone Nebula Code, an evolution of the popular Nebula series, is composed of five neutral hues that are subtle yet distinctive, inspired by the appearance of natural stone, and feature an original pattern of brilliantly colored veining throughout the surface that never repeats. Silestone Ocean, the most exotic Silestone color series available, offers a natural aesthetic similar to that of exotic granite. The Ocean series features six colors with bold patterns and a wide range of movement.

Cosentino will also showcase ECO by Cosentino® and SenSa granite with SenGuard. SenSa, a maintenance-free natural granite with 100% stain protection and a 15-year warranty, is specially sealed with SenGuard treatment, SenSa granite is protected from staining while allowing the stone to breathe and retain its natural color. ECO by Cosentino is a leading line of eco-friendly surfacing material for kitchens and bathrooms composed of 75% recycled material.  The result of a significant research and development initiative, ECO has been considered an industry pioneer in its commitment to re-thinking how surfacing is produced. ECO is made from up to 75% post-consumer and post-industrial recycled raw materials, including mirror, glass, porcelain, and vitrified ash. The recycled content is then mixed with 25% natural stone including: scrap from mountains, quarries, manufacturing, and fabrication; and is bonded together with a proprietary, eco-friendly resin made in part by corn oil that also eliminates the need for sealants.  ECO offers a 10-year limited manufacturer’s warranty and can be utilized for a range of residential or commercial projects including kitchen and bathroom countertops, wall cladding or flooring.

COSENTINO OPENS HOUSTON CENTER

Last Thursday, Cosentino, the global leader in natural stone, quartz, and recycled surfacing, opened its 25th North American Cosentino Center in Houston. More than 230 building and design industry leaders and top Cosentino executives attended the grand opening reception. The new Houston center, designed by Isabel Martinez-Cosentino, aims to enhance both the trade and consumer experience and continues Cosentino’s mission to expand its presence in the U.S. market. With Cosentino’s North American headquarters based in Houston, this opening marks a special milestone in the company’s expansion.

The March 6 program included remarks from Eduardo Cosentino, President and CEO of Cosentino North America; Alex Rioja, General Manager for the Houston Cosentino Center; and Brandon Calvo, Chief Operating Officer of distribution. The Grand Opening party celebrated the company’s Spanish roots with tapas, Spanish wine, and flamenco dancers.

Now, all visitors to the Houston Center will be able to explore and engage in the kitchen and bath experience — from material and color selection to specification and fabrication. With more than 27,000 square feet, the Cosentino Center showcases the full portfolio of Cosentino brands, including: Silestone Natural Quartz; ECO by Cosentino recycled surfaces; SenSa® Granite; Scalea Natural Stone; Marlique™ Marble; MURO™ Mosaics; and the Prexury™ Collection, a semi-precious stone line handmade by expert craftsmen, and Dekton, an innovative and ultra-compact surface with interior and exterior architectural applications.

The Cosentino Center is more than a showroom and distribution center. It’s designed to support, promote, and educate trade professionals by integrating distribution facilities, exhibition areas, and workspaces for designers to bring clients, classrooms for continuing education and fully functioning kitchens and event space for demonstrations. The centers create a unique interactive environment for architects, designers, distributors and fabricators to view the latest products and design trends, attend educational workshops, hear from visiting expert speakers and receive training on new product innovations and installation techniques.
